Plans for Coney Island

TODAY has reported that the Singapore Scout Association (SSA) has already begun preparing for its bid to host the scouting world’s equivalent of the Olympics in Singapore. If SSA is successful in its bid, the event will be held at Coney Island. SSA has spent about $800,000 campaigning to host the 2015 World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) and Coney Island, a 50 hectare island has been identified as a possible site. If successful, SSA will make use of the grant to build basic infrastructure on the island, such as roads, drainage, and lighting, as well simple camp facilities and offices.
