Development of golf driving range brought up during Town Hall Forum
No clear indication of completion date for the range

The development of the golf driving range was brought up during the Town Hall Forum which was held on 14 June, Saturday. MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, Ms Penny Low, was very open about the progress of the driving range.

According to mighty6, who attended the forum, when the location was awarded to the contractor, they moved the sand in to stablize the ground. They have been paying monthly rental of $10k for the past year. It was understood that the contractor is currently raising funds for the project and has promised to move the sand out and not in anymore.

Canvass covers has been deployed to reduce the sand particles from blowing into the flats in the vicinity. As there has been changes to the entrance location from the service road to the main road, new drawings had to be submitted and approved and this is part of the reason for the delay.

Currently, there is no indication that the range will be completed by 2009.
